It’s hard sometimes not to rely on TV nanny! I mean, she’s there right?? She’s convenient right? And oh-so-entertaining!
Ok all true. But it doesn’t leave much room for imagination!
It’s too early in the morning and too chilly to go outside just yet. I fire-up our little fireplace…er voclano and we started to look around the room to set up the scene for Dino World! Our very own Cretaceous Park! Yes, not Jurassic Park, Cretaceous Park. We learned from our dinosaur books that most of our favorite and popular dinosaurs actually lived in the Cretaceous Period!
So we laid out some blankets to be rocky cliffs and a cool refreshing lake down below. Pillows and the sofa made it look more like rocky terrains and caves for dinosaurs or its preys to hide in!
After a bit of play, we decided to read some dinosaur books to see what else we can add to our dino world! And for mummy’s sake….to see how some of these dinosaur names are pronounced!
Although the weather outside is still a bit chilly, the sun warms up the morning air just around 10-11 AM. So we usually try to squeeze in some playground time on such a sunny day.
We decided to bring our dump truck, plow truck, and horsey
To the playground!
We loved playing with the wood chips! The little gnomes explored the textures of the wood chips and our little plow truck made a path for our other truck and horsey. Hours of fun!
